Modules are the core of our Modul-iT ISO modular system. These are trays and baskets with dimensions of
exactly 600 x 400 mm, an ISO standard globally used
in the healthcare sector for furniture and rolling stock
for storing and transporting medicines and sterile and
non-sterile consumables.
To determine when a product needs to be restocked
in the department, hospitals often use an empty-full
Kanban system, in which the defined stock quantity of a
product is divided equally between two compartments.
Once one compartment is empty, an order must be sent
to the central warehouse or hospital pharmacy, while
users can continue to work with the products in the
second compartment while awaiting restocking.
MATTTEO’s cabinets, racks, transport and care trolleys
are ISO-compliant, which means that 600 x 400 mm
modules fit in every of these elements seamlessly.
The major advantages of this system are the smooth
interchangeability (‘modularity’) of these modules
between the various storage and transport elements,
their ease of use and the very compact and clear storage.
In this way, the Modul-iT modular system creates time
savings, reduces storage space requirements and
facilitates stock management.

Internal orders can be registered in traditional ways or
via handheld scanners, but MATTTEO’s i-Room inventory
management system also allows them to be sent
automatically and in real time. RFID antennas in the
department´s storage room instantaneously pick up
outstanding order signals from RFID tags attached to label
holders near the products. Through the IRIS user interface,
the person responsible for replenishment has an accurate
overview of all outstanding orders at any time of the day,
without the need for an employee to check stock levels in the
