OPERATION
Safe and efficient use of our product is ensured through
proper operation. The following points should be followed closely.
ACTIVATION OF THE FUME HOOD
UPON POWER CONNECTION
When power is connected, the fume cupboard activates
automatically. It is important to note that the fume cupboard may be in standby mode, and ready for use upon
activation of the control panel.
OPERATING THE SASH WINDOW
The position of the sash window can be freely adjusted
by manually opening or closing it between the window’s
minimum and maximum positions. If the fume cupboard
is equipped with an automatic sash closure, the sash
window will close after approximately 10 minutes of
inactivity and move to the minimum position. The PIR
sensor detects this. This function is an additional option
for a basic fume cupboard.
OPERATING THE FUME HOOD CONTROL
VENTILATION AND PROPER USAGE
During normal use the fume cupboard control system
maintains an air velocity in the sash opening of at least
0.5 m/s. If the air velocity deviates from this and does
not achieve the correct speed, an alarm is triggered.
OPERATING THE LIGHTS
The fume cupboard has LED lighting located at the top.
The control panel on the right side of the cupboard
allows users to turn the lighting on/off. If the fume
cupboard has an automatic sash closure, the lighting
will turn off after approximately 10 minutes of inactivity,
which is detected by the PIR sensor.
OPERATING THE FIXTURES
As a standard, fixtures are mounted on the fixture rail
and the corresponding control handle is in the control
box below the bench level. All handles for various
media are coded in colour according to the standard in
accordance with EN 13792.
STANDBY MODE
The daily operation of the fume cupboard is controlled
via the control panel, located on the right side of the
fume cupboard. The status of the fume cupboard can be
read on the control panel. If an alarm is triggered, due
to low air velocity, it will activate a visual and audible
alarm, which can be silenced on the control panel. The
visual alarm will persist until the fault is rectified. In
emergencies, it is possible to put the fume cupboard
into forced operation, activating ventilation to run at
maximum extraction.
When the fume cupboard is not in use, it typically remains in standby mode, ready for use upon activation of
the control panel. This ensures quick and easy accessibility when needed.
